Susan Williams

Susan Williams is EESI’s Vice President of Partnerships, leading work with donors and partners to advance climate solutions. She co-founded and chairs EESI’s staff working group on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ). She collaborates with the president, senior staff, the board of directors, and donors to enhance organizational sustainability and communications. Susan has significant experience in development for energy and environmental issues in the United States and globally. Previously, she worked at Conservation International as a Regional Development Officer, furthering sustainable development and conservation strategies for the Andes-Amazon region, and worked with partners at Green Empowerment to bring renewable energy access and water to communities in Latin America and Asia. She also consulted on climate change, solid waste, and environmental issues, including as a Foreign Expert for Peru’s National Strategy Study on Climate Change. Susan holds a master’s degree in international environment and resource policy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and was a Fulbright scholar in Madrid, focusing on European environmental policy.
