EESI is a trusted source of nonpartisan, science-based educational resources about climate change, energy, and environmental topics for policymakers, with a special emphasis on members of Congress and their staff. Each year, EESI produces more than 20 Congressional briefings, 35 newsletters, and 100 articles, as well as fact sheets, issue briefs, and podcast episodes. EESI strives to ensure that our resources are always timely, relevant, accessible, and practical.

Congressional staff have an outsized but underappreciated role in federal climate policy. They are often time-strapped generalists who are inundated with information of questionable quality and trustworthiness from special interests.

For more than 40 years, Congressional staff working for senators and representatives along the entire political spectrum have counted on EESI for educational resources that help them understand complicated topics, analyze and evaluate proposals, and respond to constituent concerns.

While policymakers are EESI’s core audience, our resources are also extensively used by the media, federal climate policy stakeholders, state and local leaders, and the public. All of EESI’s resources are freely available online. To receive updates about our latest briefings, articles, fact sheets and more, subscribe to our biweekly newsletter, Climate Change Solutions.
