Letter from the President: Letter from the President: We Went Through a Lot of Ups and Downs—Putting It Politely

After the election, we knew that federal climate goals would be officially disavowed. That made it hard to imagine how we could stay on track.

Your partnership and commitment to advancing climate solutions meant that EESI was ready to go when the new Congress came to town.

Despite the upside-down politics, the benefits of sustainable solutions are unchanged. Clean energy, environmental, and climate policies and investments create millions of jobs, reduce costs for households and businesses, and unleash U.S. innovation.

Will the current administration realize this? Maybe not. But our interactions with Congress suggest that they will pay attention to reality over fiction. Your support ensures that EESI can continue to be an essential source of nonpartisan, science-based educational resources for policymakers to do right by their constituents.

Onward and upward. We simply have no choice but to do our part to make the world more sustainable and resilient.
