Environment & Energy Congressional Round-Up | May 4 - May 8, 2026

Highlights:

Reps. John Garamendi (D-Calif.) and Mike Thompson (D-Calif.) introduced the ADAPT Assets Act (H.R.8653) to protect critical transportation infrastructure from natural disasters. The bill would provide $2 billion annually to support the development of ten critical infrastructure projects that bolster disaster preparedness.
