Laura Gries works on EESI's policy team to research, grow, and disseminate our climate policy knowledge. Laura is from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, which prompted her interest in environmental issues surrounding the ocean, coastal resilience, and environmental justice. Laura previously interned for EESI while in college. Prior to returning, she worked in several university research labs and volunteered at the First Circuit Court of Hawaiʻi and the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation. Laura holds a BA in government and psychology from Cornell University.
