Hannah creates communications content, edits environmental policy articles, and assists in outreach for EESI. She grew up in Northern Virginia, graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, and spent time as an Americorps Member in West Virginia before returning to the D.C. area to work with EESI. Hannah has also worked as a freelance journalist and essayist, with an emphasis on Appalachian environmental and labor politics. Outside of work, she is making progress on various embroidery projects, playing the fiddle, and writing a novel about a disgraced coal baron.
