Do you have a donor-advised fund (DAF) or charitable giving account? Here’s how you can use it to advance solutions-oriented climate change policy on a wide range of topics.

What?

Join EESI on October 9 for DAF Day, a day to promote giving from donor-advised funds. Along with fellow nonprofits, fundraising platforms, and donor-advised fund providers, EESI is encouraging millions of donors to come together for a day of giving.

Why?

Perhaps you set up a donor-advised fund or giving account, such as a Vanguard Charitable or Fidelity Charitable account, for tax reasons. But you don’t quite know what to do with it.
You’ll feel good when you put it to work for the climate. There is so much to do.

Why Now?

The importance of providing science-based resources to U.S. policymakers is greater than ever before. It is urgent to increase the legislative branch's capacity to understand and address environmental and climate issues. With your DAF grant, you make possible key resources that increase the scientific and technical expertise of the legislative branch.

Since you have already done the legwork of setting up your account, a great next step is making a grant on DAF Day!

By giving a donor-advised fund gift, you can have a real-time impact on:

  • Helping policymakers understand more about artificial intelligence, the grid, and water availability;
  • Demystifying international climate negotiations and their implications for the United States;
  • Providing opportunities for college students, like our paid internship program with professional development workshops and mentorship.
