Incredible people like you are needed to make a meaningful difference at a critical time! You can help both the planet and future generations when you give to EESI to power climate solutions through your IRA.

Qualified Charitable Distributions, or QCDs, count toward your IRA’s required minimum distribution (RMD). Your mandatory IRA withdrawal could support work on win-win climate solutions—while reducing your tax liability!

If you are 70.5 or older, you can ask your IRA administrator to transfer up to $100,000 per year to a nonprofit charity (such as EESI!). You can bring both action and compassion to EESI’s mission!

Contact EESI (at hello@eesi.org or 202-662-1887) for our brokerage information, or if you have any questions about the process.

Please make sure you let your financial institution know to include your address so we can send you our thanks and a tax receipt. EESI has sometimes received lovely gifts from IRA distributions, but with no way to thank the donor!

The IRS addresses IRA distributions in an online publication. For details about QCDs, scroll down to "Are Distributions Taxable?" and click on "Qualified Charitable Distributions."
