Renewable Energy Provisions in the House and Senate Energy Bills

The House and Senate Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucuses, along with the Sustainable Energy Coalition and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), sponsored a Congressional briefing on the renewable energy provisions in S. 517, The Energy Policy Act of 2002, and H.R. 4, the Securing America's Future Energy Act of 2001. This information was particularly timely as the House and Senate prepare for conference committee deliberations on their respective energy bills.

A panel of Congressional committee staff members and renewable energy experts discussed and compared important renewable energy provisions, including tax incentives, in each of the energy bills. The panel included:
