The Senate Energy Bill

The Senate and House Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucuses, along with the Sustainable Energy Coalition and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), sponsored a Congressional briefing on The Energy Policy Act of 2002. A panel of majority and minority committee staff members discussed key energy efficiency and renewable energy provisions in the bill. The briefing addressed some of the differences between the Senate energy bill and H.R. 4, SAFE Act of 2001.

David Nemtzow, president of the Alliance to Save Energy, and Carol Werner, executive director of the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, will moderate the briefing and provide additional perspectives on the energy bill. The panel included:
