On June 15, 2007, the 2020 Vision Education Fund and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, in association with the offices of Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) and Senator Joe Biden (D-DE), held a policy briefing on: Harvesting the Farm Bill for Energy Security and Climate.

The Farm Bill holds great promise for advancing national policies to cure our oil addiction and curb climate change. Biofuels, wind, solar power and energy efficiency all stand to gain from the process. American agriculture can be a major force in promoting renewable energy and weaning us off fossil fuels.
