On May 15, 2007, the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) and the US Fuel Cell Council (USFCC) held the 2007 Congressional Fuel Cell Expo that provided a first-hand array of exciting innovations in fuel cell technology. The Expo featured the nation's leading fuel cell producers, suppliers, and research institutions and included a Fuel Cell Vehicle Ride & Drive, featuring vehicles from General Motors and Toyota.

The Congressional Expo allowed Members of Congress and their staff, administration officials, and the general public to see the progress being made to make our nation more energy independent and energy efficient. Demonstrations included fuel cell systems representing portable, stationary, micro and automotive applications. The Fuel Cell Expo was co-sponsored by Reps. Bob Inglis (R-SC), Albert Wynn (D-MD), John Larson (D-CT) and Charles Dent (R-PA). Special guests included Reps. Lee Terry (R-NE) and Zach Wamp (R-TN), among others.
